Plank is the best solution for a facade if you want to get the look of a natural wooden facade, but avoid the disadvantages of wood. Plank boards are cement-based chipboards with a wood structure that are not afraid of rot, are easy to clean, long-lasting and fireproof (A). The installation method ensures ventilation of the facade, which is the best choice for building an energy-efficient facade in a Nordic climate.
Surfaces covered with boards remain beautiful and fresh for decades, because the boards withstand sunlight, wind, precipitation and large temperature fluctuations very well. The boards have a 15-year warranty, but the first boards were installed on the exterior facade over 30 years ago and they have survived completely intact.
Plank tiles are suitable for building a new facade or renovating an old facade and are easy to install - the tiles are installed with an overlap. This way, all fasteners are hidden and there is no horizontal joint.
Plank tiles are available in thicknesses of 10 and 12 mm. The standard dimensions of the tiles are 240x1670 mm. The facade color can be selected using RAL, NCS or Tikkurila color cards.
